Me and my animals:
My name is Brooke and I am from Bama! My husband and I have 3 Dogs, a 13 year old pitty named (Capone), a 2 year old Blue Heeler named (Gunner), a 8 year old Boxer named (Lola)! Gunner is more "my" dog, being that I am the one that had to talk my husband into letting me get him lol. Lola is more so my husbands dog, and Capone (our) baby, as he is the very first pup we got together! also I should mention he was already like 6 months when we took him in/ rescued him. He and his siblings couldnt get along for nothing. every time I went outside they was fighting, so me and my husband agreed it was time to step in and save one, or the other. When we went over to the neighbors house, we ended up falling in love with capone! And here we are almost 13 years later. He has gotten old on us, So he is living his best last days/months/years. He is just getting to that point, He has good days and bad days. For now the good out ways the bad days, so we will just continue to play it day by day. He is not in any pain, and that is all that matters.
Got off subject lol, Back to all our animals. We have a 20+ year old cockatiel named Floyd. He doesn't care for females to much, well doesn't care for us getting him out of his cage anyway. He is definitely a mans man lol! My husband can reach in grab him, and floyd will not flinch. If I grab him while he is still in the cage to get him out, 99 % of the time he is going to latch on good. He is ok if my husband gets him out, and then I can love on him, sometimes he will even fly to me! But he is just up in age , and definitely set in his ways.
We have 2 Cats. A orange tabby named ( orange ass) haha. But for the vet he goes by tigger, only because they couldn't call him that, with a room full of other patients. But best believe, he don't listen to tigger one bit. The other one is a Fluff ball!!! She is a long hair grey tabby with a little orange mixed in her fur here, and there. Her name is sassy! Sassy is my elder sassy butt. She is around 8 as well. But she still rolls Orange ass like she is still young. She pretty much raised orange ass since he was a baby! They are like two peas in a pod. You definitely wont see one, without seeing the other for sure. They groom each other, which is the cutest. Well that is when they are not rough housing each other.
Then we have 2 snakes.. One normal python, and a spider python. The spider is female, we took her in about a month ago, well August... Dang its been two months already. And she just had her first shed with us. Yes I am one proud snake mom. She is also the oldest. We just call her cookie, being that I believe that is what her former owner named her. Then My baby the (norm python), his name is ziggy. They both are sweet, But my baby is one that, I would trust with anyone, even on his grumpy days. I guess it may also be, because he is still young!
OOHH.... I cant forget.... We also have two fish tanks. One is pretty big, with a few different fish, But then we have a AXOLOTL!!! He is spoiled as well. I finally have him eating red worms from the tongs.
That was also my husbands choice, but guess what..... Yep, you guessed it. I am the one spoiling that baby. Only because my husband works so much, and so many long hours, being in construction. The Lotl has gotten use to me feeding him and interacting with him. So when he sees me, he will follow me from one end of the tank, to the other. I neverrrrr..... try to take him out, as it is bad for them, as well as can harm them in the long run. So if you are reading this, and also have alotl... PLEASE DONT COME FOR MY HEAD LOL... But sometimes I do wash my hands really good, and dry them really good, and give him light back pats. I never touch his face, and I never just grab him. But he is the sweetest, with a apetite like no other. this is why he has a bare bottom tank. No substrate, just him and his decor. The coolest little guy I have ever owned for sure, but man, I absolutely do not recommend for a first time tank owner. They are very sensitive to alot of things, and not to mention things can crash in a split second with them. But I dont regret him, I just wish my husband would have done more research before getting this little guy! But he is loved and taken care of to the best of my ability. Hopefully that counts for something. I learn something new about these guys every day. And I am in plenty of FB groups to also help me learn more, as well as read everyone elses story with them. Good or bad. I myself new nothing about them, never even had the thought of getting one, for many reasons. But here we are! The day we brought him home, is the day i began to do all the research I had to do, to make sure he could live his best life, not just thrive. But again I am still learning. I normally do months/years of research before getting a life, I have never owned before. And this one just wasn't planned out! Thanks to going to a Expo... Again... DONT COME FOR ME PLEASE. No one is perfect, right?!
A little more about me:
Now that you have gotten to know my animals, I will tell you a little more about me. I apologize if you have gotten bored. But see I love reading about others life lol. With me a stay at home Wife, I run my business, and tend to our animals, and keep the house clean. So with that being said, I sit and read! I listen to a lot, and I do mean ALOT of poadcast on my phone, when I am doing orders lol. I love to listen to murder poadcast, as well a missing persons. I am just one of those. But I also read a lot of blogs. That is one of the reasons I have started one myself. I definitely have the time to share the good, as well as the bad, and my random thoughts.
I know that I have jumped around some, but I hope you have enjoyed reading more about my life and the many animals I care so much for! The next time I write on my blog, I promise I will "try" not to bounce around so much! And also Feel free to write me with any tips on the whole "blog" thing lol. As Everything is so new to me. I also like interacting with my readers, as well as customers. If you come to shop and read then thats a bonus...
