My 39th Birthday, that I almost forgot!

Every morning I start my day off with letting my puppers out to potty, Then I start my coffee as I am letting them out. Because Lord knows I have to let them out separately some days. My boxer and heeler, like to see which one can run a squirrel up the tree first 😂! With that being said here lately we have had quite a few of them in our yard, I guess because of the weather change, and everything falling from the trees. But hey.... here, no animals get left behind. So occasionally I will throw fruits that are going bad in the yard, like strawberries, because I dont like to just throw them in the trash like normal. But for the most part, they scavenge the Pecans that fall from our tree, but strawberries have became their favorite. So I take one dog out at a time, with a fly swatter in my hand, that way I can threaten their tails 1500 times with it, all while trying to get them to do business. While a Squirrel is up in the tree throwing acorns at them. And I will add, that no the squirrels do not come to me, well... of course they don't, I have little terrorist 😂! But I also do not try to, because i dont want to put them in danger, in no way. I have raised many and released, but I am a caring person. So like I said No animals gets left behind.

So today I had already taken my boxer (Lola) out to do her business, and had Gunner out. Well as soon as he hit the door I already knew what he was going for, So I went outside to threaten him with the swatter, it only took me 100x, finally got him to leave the tree. Because he kept running aroung the tree,  he spotted the squirrel run up, he was definitely determined to let that squirrel know who was boss. So he was Looking for this squirrel. I was standing in the yard at this point, from trying to con him to just come away from the tree.  I start hearing these thuds, and see acorns bounce. I am looking around confused. I mean I am use to hearing or seeing them fall every now and then, while outside. But these things was just a bouncing.... And I looking at Gunner, becasue at this point I notice they are only bouncing around him. I Look up, and this squirrel is sitting there watching us. I was like NOW I KNOW..... this squirrel isn't throwing things at my dog. All while I am at this point also cracking up, like out loud cracking up. Because aint no way. Right?! And clear as day I see this squirrel take a acorn out of his jaw, and low and behold, he does, he definitely chunks it towards my dog. I look closer and he has a Pecan in the other hand, but was holding it with the help of the tree branch he was sitting on. So now all this time that I just thought I was crazy, all these other days that I am just thinking they was just falling at a crazy amount that day, this squirrel has been plotting on my heeler. But I definitely dont blame him. My heeler is the worlds worst at chasing them. But I also know that he would never hurt them if he did have the chace only because he does listen for the most part, and he is well trained. Not to mention he is low-key scarey lol. If that squirrel was to stop and chase him back, he would turn around and book it and holler like he has done been yank up hisself. 

By the time all this was over with my coffee was cold, So I just made another cup. I sat infront of my coffee maker for this cup, because by this time, I am already just like, wow.. I haven't even had time to process my life at the moment, and have plotting squirrels in my tree.  So I get my coffee, Sit down outside on my front porch to drink it, and my phone just starts a dinging. At this point, I am just thinking to myself, what in the world could it be. I haven't even picked my phone up to check, Because I am really just trying to contemplate my life. Then the noise stops.... I am listening to the birds, watching my squirrels play a game of I guess tag. because two squirrels was running like crazy up and down this side tree beside my porch. Then my phone rings, I answer it, Its my Grandpa. I love that man to death. I answer It and he says he was calling to wish me a Happy Birthday 🎂! I had to stop and look at my phone to make sure he had the days right, and sure enough its my birthday! But I didn't even realize it. 

I mean who forgets their birthday 😂, I do, I am she!!!! So I talk to him for a bit. And end up going to hang out with him. And listen to all the stories. Most I have heard a few times before, But I always listen as if It is my first time of hearing it. All because I love listening to him tell me all the crazy stories he has. He use to fly planes, they was his planes. And I was definitely that grandchild, if he was going up, dang it I was too! So I have some flying stories at some point. Thats for a nother day. But one story stuck with me today. And that is the one of him flying low to pastures of friends, just to see their cows haul butt from being scared 😂!  That man is so crazy. And has tons of stories. And I love them every time. 

So all that being said, I didn't do much for my 39th birthday! But It was more then I could have asked for at the sametime. I spent the day with my 86 year old Grandpa, that I am truly blessed to still have! As long as he is around, He will always call and tell me Happy Birthday around 7/8 AM!
