I will take this oppurtunity to tell you a little about me! I love when I can get to know who I am buying from! So I am going to give you all the same chance as well!!!!! It maybe a little long, but hey the longer the better. That just gives you more info about the one you are purchasing from. I also want to let you know, I am a Amazon Associate, I earn from qualifying purchases. Any links in my Blogs you click on, are (Commission earned) at no wxtra cost to you!
I am a 38 year old woman with dreams! I use to work at Waffle House as a server in the next town over from where I live. Off and on since 2016. Don't get me wrong, I loved my WH family, as well as the many many regular customers I got close to. But it was very mentally straining. And the money just wasn't flowing like it once was.
I never really did crafting growning up, I just felt like I wasn't you know, (THE BEST CRAFTER) lol. I didn't feel like it was my thing. But here I am working this 6am-2pm job, that I absolutely started dreading going into. I sarted loosing my sight of what I wanted out of life as well as just felt like I was (just here). I just wanted to be able to be home with my animals full time, growing my own business, instead of working for a company that is already at the top. And being able to have dinner ready for my husband when he got home, or allowing him to come home to a clean house after a long day of work. I wanted him to be able to come in eat, shower, and do whatever else he wanted to. Not come in and help me get the house cleaned, help with dishes, or anything extra after a hard day at work, as he is outside all day, on roofs in the heat all summer, and cold in the winter. But I couldn't do that with out some kind of income coming in. even if its just a few hundred dollars every few days, anything at that point is better than the money being brought home from serving. I mean yes my husband would have definitely put in whatever money I needed to get me started or needed at that moment supply wise, but I dont espect him to buy me the extra things I want or need. Like if I want a new computer for my business, or a new vacuum for my floors, I dont have to ask him. I mean he pays for everything else as it is, my money from my job just got us the extra stuff, and house hold items we my need! I just dont expect him to put his hard earned money into a business "I" want to start. So I had to do something, and I needed to do it fast!!
So I sat at my table one day and started doing my Big sellers, (my bird houses) even though it took hours/days to finish just one, because everything is hand drawn, and hand burnt! I loved doing them, I loved putting the time in it, as it also helped me whine down from a day at work, and calmed my anxity that carried home from my place of employment. So I continued to do that for a few weeks, as I was actually for once in my life (getting orders). I was so very thankful, and still am!
I ended up getting a lot of orders for that one product. So I said maybe I can actully do a little crafting after all lol. That one prodject made me step in to a few other prodjects.. Now I am doing everything from the bird houses, to earrings, to door hangers, and so much more!
I was so thankful to finally find something I actually enjoyed doing with my time, as well as having others enjoy my work is just beyond a blessing!
And to think at one point in time, in my mind, I belittled myself, and told myself I wasnt (crafty enough). Or Nobody would be interested in the things I put all this time and work into. Now I have learned to go with the flow. I had to tell myself every day starting out, that just because something isn't selling, it is not the end of the world, and that also dont mean that the next thing I make wont sell. Its all about consistency, and showing up for yourself. So no matter what sells or doesn't sale. I will still be here crafting different things. To share with you all.
I started with just selling to friends, I knew through work, or from school. Then by the GRACE OF OUR GOOD LORD, I now do my crafting full time. My friends, friends started ordering from me. My wonderful mother that works in a school system, started wearing earrings that I as well make, and from there my earrings were being ordered left and right, from other wonderful women she worked with, on to other women from other schools around her area. And I am so thankful to all of them as well!
Now I am able to stay Home with our three puppers, and do what I love doing. One of our pups is a Boxer named (Lola). If you know boxers, they can really be needy lol. She grew seperation anxity over the years, especially after a tramatic experience she went through. She was attacked by another dog, and almost lost her life. So for three months at that time she had me by her side, day in and day out. While my poor husband worked long hours to provide. So long story short, Now she no longer has to have her anxity medication like once before, because I am home with her now full time. And thats just one example of how much me being able to be home is helping our household.
The other 2 Pups we have, is a Blue Heeler named (gunner), and a Pitbull named (Capone). We also have 2 Snakes cookie, and Ziggy, a Bird named Floyd, a big fish tank, a axolotl named (Lotti the lotl). 2 cats orange tabby (can't say his name, as it si frowned up on lol(Orange -----) I am sure you can fill in the blank, he got that name because unless its me, he doesn't like to be messed with like that at all! Unless he comes to you for the moment. The other is a grey tabby fluff ball with some orange spots, her name is ( Sassy)!
I guess you can say at this point I am beyond a animal lover I would say lol. If i could have a pond in my back yard, I would probably rescue and aligator if it was necessarry, every creature that breathes deserves, love/care. I am just one of those, call me crazy if you like lol.
I apologize for the lengthy (About Me). But hope you enjoyed reading it, as well as getting to know a little about me! I am guessing by now you can tell I am definitely a talker after I get started lol.
